Celebrate the Small Wins in Your Strength Journey: Readable Version

What Is Success?

What is success? Success is those small wins we have over time. It could be the fact we didn't feel like doing a workout today and we did 10 minutes. Great, better 10 minutes than nothing.

Examples of Small Wins

It could be that we were reaching for that chocolate when we thought, you know what, don't need the chocolate, let's go and have a bit of that nut and seed slice that I've got in the fridge. Awesome, that's a win. Celebrate those wins.

It could be the fact that you've lifted a 10 kilo weight or even a 5 kilo weight, whereas a few weeks ago you could only lift a one. That's huge. Give yourself a pat on the back.

It may even be that you've been doing your strength training and have minimal rest. You used to have to have a big, big rest in between doing a couple of sets of exercises, and now you don't need much rest at all because you can keep going because your cardiovascular and muscle endurance has improved so much. That's a win.

Celebrating Progress

Celebrate those wins. Give yourself a pat on the back, and maybe take yourself out for dinner because those are all wins, everything that we do. So sometimes I think we can progress along and forget to actually, we get so busy, we forget to look back and think of where we've come from to where we are today.

So there's small things. It's not sometimes huge, and it could be your meal. It could be that you were having lots of pasta every night, but now you're maybe trying to put a bit more protein in and colorful vegetables.

So small wins add up to a lot. So don't negate how important it is to actually celebrate the wins that we have along the way, and those wins can be very small. It could be the fact that you came home from work today so tired, and you didn't think you could do any sort of a workout, but you did something.

Keep Going: Bounce Back and Balance

So celebrate, celebrate, celebrate. You are awesome. If you are progressing along, then that is a win, and that's all we can expect because you think if you progress, even at a small rate from where you are to where you want to be, then five, ten years down the track, you are going to be a totally different person, and you will be amazed that once upon a time you were there, but look at where I am today.

So well done, girlfriend. Keep going. Keep stay strong.

Celebrate the wins, and don't let life get you down. If it does get you down, and you get off the wagon, you fall off the wagon, you get yourself back on the wagon and keep going. And you know what? If you're on holiday or something, have a fun time.

If I'm on an all-I-can-eat breakfast, I will do all I can eat, absolutely, because I don't do it every day. But then get yourself back on track, get yourself back into the routine, and keep going, and celebrate every little win that you achieve because you're worth it.
